When you plan to keep a Chinese Pokémon box sealed, the packaging becomes part of the collection. The relevant questions for a store go beyond whether the cards are genuine: will the box arrive in its original factory packaging, how will it be protected, and what can you expect if you need help with the delivery?

Treat authenticity, factory sealing and condition as separate checks

Authenticity concerns whether the item is a genuine product of the stated edition. Factory sealing concerns whether the original packaging remains intact. Condition concerns the appearance and physical state of the box and its wrapping. These questions are related, but an answer to one does not settle all three.

A genuine box may have a cosmetic imperfection. An attractive product image may show the packaging design without showing the exact box allocated to an order. A statement that a store sells sealed products does not, by itself, define a collectible condition grade.

Keep these distinctions in mind when reading a listing. If a particular aspect of the outer box is essential to your purchase, describe it before ordering. A request for original factory packaging is different from a request for a particular display condition.

Confirm that the chosen option stays sealed

Read the listing and selected option together. Complete boxes, individual packs, multi-pack bundles and opening services can appear under similar search terms. For sealed collecting, the purchased unit and its delivery format must both be clear.

PokeAri does not open our booster boxes, gift boxes or collection boxes for inspection or live breaks. They are supplied in their original factory-sealed packaging with the original shrink wrap intact. This is our delivery practice across those formats.

Keep the edition and box identity with your condition requirements

Record the language, release name, set code and format together. Similar artwork can appear across different releases, and a translated name alone is not enough to identify the box. Packs per box and cards per pack should be recorded separately when they apply.

This is particularly useful if you intend to build a consistent sealed collection over time. Your notes should identify the item without requiring you to open it. A card list may help identify a release, but it does not tell you which random cards are inside your particular sealed box.

For gift boxes and collection boxes, save the stated contents and the selected option as well. The outer shape, display window or accessories can be important to how you store and display the purchase, even when you do not intend to use the contents.

What our shipping protection includes

We wrap the goods in three layers of bubble wrap and use cardboard corner reinforcement. The bubble wrap cushions the goods, while the reinforcement provides additional protection around vulnerable corners during shipping.

The shipping carton and the collectible product box serve different purposes. An impact on the outer carton does not establish the condition of the box inside; assess the item itself when you receive it. We describe the materials we use so you can understand our packing method without relying on a vague promise of “careful packaging.”

Packing method is one part of a buying decision. It is useful alongside the factory-seal commitment, the information in the listing and the experiences described by previous customers. It should not be turned into a guarantee of a particular cosmetic grade.

The photograph we send with every order

For every order, PokeAri sends a photograph of the goods together with the shipping label. The label shows its printed date and time. Keep the photograph with your order confirmation so the goods and shipment reference remain connected in your records.

This is an order photograph. It is not a pre-purchase box-selection service, a fixed six-sided inspection report or a carrier delivery confirmation. The printed label time should not be treated as the time the carrier collected or delivered the parcel.

Read packaging reviews for what they actually describe

Look for the type of item delivered, the destination where stated, the condition on arrival and the packing materials the buyer describes. A review praising fast delivery tells you something different from a review discussing box corners and intact wrapping.

Read the detail of any problem and the seller's response as well. Distinguish damage to the shipping carton from damage to the collectible box. A single account is one transaction, while a headline rating may combine many kinds of purchases. Neither should be treated as a promise about the exact item in your next order.

When your order arrives

Check the shipping carton and visible condition of the product packaging. You can record the outer box, label, corners and wrapping without opening the factory seal. Keep the order details with those photographs if you maintain a sealed-collection record.
