Chinese Pokémon Boxes Shipped to the US: Costs, DDP and Preorders

Before ordering Chinese Pokémon boxes for delivery to the US, check the delivered cost and the order timeline separately. A product price does not include every possible part of an order, and a transit estimate does not tell you when a preorder becomes ready to ship.

PokeAri ships from mainland China and uses DDP shipping worldwide, with customs clearance, import duties and import taxes prepaid. Standard shipping charges apply. This guide explains our shipping arrangements, how to read the total for your address and how processing differs for in-stock orders and preorders.

What DDP means for a PokeAri order

Under PokeAri's DDP shipping arrangement, customs clearance, import duties and import taxes are prepaid. Customers do not need to pay those charges when the parcel arrives. This describes how we arrange our shipments; it does not mean shipping itself is free.

When reviewing the order, keep the goods price and shipping charge visible as separate amounts. A description such as “international shipping” identifies the delivery reach, while the DDP statement explains our handling of import charges. Read both when deciding whether an overseas order fits your needs.

If you receive an unexpected request for an import payment on a PokeAri shipment, contact xpokeari@gmail.com with the order reference and the notice so we can review it. Do not infer from the request alone that it matches the shipping terms of your order.

Check the amount for the actual delivery address

Use the shipping charge shown for the order and destination before completing payment. A general guide cannot provide an exact quote for an unspecified parcel and address. The amount for one order should not be carried over to another without checking it.

For a budget decision, work from the goods subtotal after any applicable discount, add the shipping amount, and review any other charge actually displayed before payment. Check the currency beside the amounts as well. If your payment provider converts currencies or charges a fee, its terms determine that separate cost.

This is why a low item price does not, by itself, show that a box fits an all-in budget. Establish the payable total first. We do not describe an estimated shipping amount as a confirmed checkout quote.

Destination surcharges are separate from arrival charges

PokeAri collects a fixed destination tax surcharge with shipping for six European countries. Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Portugal have a US$15 surcharge; Italy and France have a US$10 surcharge. These amounts do not depend on the parcel's value.

The surcharge is collected by PokeAri with shipping. It is not a payment collected by customs on arrival, and it is not a statement that those countries use a fixed legal tax rate of that amount. Standard shipping charges still apply.

The US and Canada are outside those six surcharge destinations. North American buyers should still check their actual shipping charge and order total. Worldwide DDP describes the import-charge arrangement, rather than a single worldwide shipping price.

Allow for processing as well as transit

For in-stock PokeAri orders, processing takes up to 3 business days. Shipping typically takes 8–10 business days. Processing covers preparing the order for dispatch; transit is the delivery stage that follows dispatch.

Read these as two stages, rather than treating the transit estimate as the entire time from payment. Business-day estimates should also not be read as an uninterrupted count of calendar days. The stated timeframes are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates.

If you need an order by a specific date, assess that requirement before paying. A page showing an item for sale is not a promise of arrival by an occasion or appointment.

Preorders begin from the release date

For preorders, the timing starts on the release date rather than the date the preorder is placed. Allow up to 3 business days for processing and approximately 8 business days for shipping from that release-based schedule.

Placing an order earlier reserves a preorder; it does not make the item an in-stock shipment at the time of payment. Check the stated release and selected option before ordering. If you are unsure whether an option is a preorder, ask about that exact listing before completing the purchase.

For an order combining different availability dates, ask how the specific order will be handled before paying. Do not assume a split shipment or a particular dispatch date from a general preorder description.

What the order photograph tells you

For every order, we send a photograph of the goods together with the shipping label. The label displays its printed date and time. Keep that photograph with your order confirmation as a record of the goods and shipment reference.

The label's printed time is not the carrier's collection time or delivery confirmation. Distinguishing those events helps you read the progress of an order without treating a label as evidence that every delivery stage has occurred.

Read cancellation terms before relying on a delivery estimate

Ordinary-order cancellation requests must be submitted within two days of ordering. Approved cancellations have a 10% fee. Preorders cannot be cancelled, and orders cannot be cancelled after shipping.

These conditions belong in the purchase decision, particularly if your plans may change or you have a fixed arrival deadline. A question about dispatch timing is best resolved before payment, using the exact listing and selected option.
